After completing the Foodics authorization step, the next step is to sync all the data of Foodics. We can sync branches, categories, modifiers, modifier options, menu groups, and products. This syncing of Foodics data must be done in order because some data depends on others like the product is dependent on categories.
Orders in which syncing must be done are,
Every module has the “sync” button at the top of its page.
To sync any data for example branch, we only have to click on ‘sync branch’ button. This action will pull all the branch lists from Foodics and save them in the Fooder Database and similarly for other entities also.
Can we sync the same data multiple times?
Yes, we can sync the data as many times as we want. But we should beware that this syncing takes some time in case of large data so we should do the syncing only when we are sure that there is some change in data on Foodics.
Suppose someone on Foodics have modified some data on Foodics, then how we can get the latest data on Fooder?
If someone on Foodics has modified some data then we have to sync that data on Fooder by clicking on the sync button.
Can we modify the Foodics data on Fooder?
Yes, we can modify but not all data. Right now we can only modify the ‘branch status’, ‘category reordering’, and ‘branch name’ on Fooder.
Can we modify data that do not come from Foodics?
Yes, we can modify all those data that do not come for Foodics. For example in branch we can modify the opening hours of branch, set delivery charge and radius etc.
Can we process the Foodics order on Fooder?
No, we cannot process the Foodics order on Fooder. But only in case of online payment failed we can only change the payment type to either ‘CARD’ or ‘CASH’ in order to make payment successful.
