How to create ads in the WhatsApp Business app



From within the WhatsApp Business app, you can create Facebook and Instagram ads that lead to a WhatsApp chat with you. These ads can be tailored to your business. You can select photos for your ad, set a budget and duration, and choose a target audience.
If you have a Facebook account or Facebook page that is linked to your WhatsApp Business account, you can create ads that appear on both Facebook and Instagram.
If you don’t have a Facebook account or Facebook page, you can still create ads using your email address. These ads will appear on Facebook and Instagram.
Create an ad on the WhatsApp Business app without a Facebook account
Note: This feature is currently available on Android devices in select regions.
  1. Tap 
     > Advertise > Get started.
  2. Select a photo from your gallery or phone, catalog item, or status to advertise.
    • Note:
      • Catalog items you want to advertise must be approved.
      • You can advertise multiple photos and catalog items at a time.
  3. Tap Next.
  4. Enter a description for your ad > tap Next.
  5. Set a daily budget, a duration, and an audience. Then, tap Next.
  6. Review and accept Facebook’s non-discrimination policy. Then, review your ad > tap Next.
  7. Enter your email address > tap Send code. You’ll receive a six-digit code at this email address.
  8. Enter the six-digit code.
  9. Select your country or region, currency, and time zone > tap Next.
  10. Add a payment method > tap Next.
  11. Enter your payment information > tap Save.
  12. Enter your business information > tap Save.
  13. Review your ad settings and payment method > tap Create ad.
  14. If approved, your ad will appear under MANAGE.
Create an ad on the WhatsApp Business app with a Facebook account
  1. Tap 
     > Advertise on Facebook > Get started.
  2. Select a photo from your gallery or phone, catalog item, or status to advertise.
    • Note:
      • Catalog items you want to advertise must be approved.
      • You can advertise multiple photos and catalog items at a time.
  3. Tap Next.
  4. Tap Log in and enter your Facebook account information.
  5. Set a daily budget, a duration, and an audience. Then, tap Next.
  6. Use your Facebook account to select a payment method.
  7. Review your ad > tap Create Ad.
  8. If approved, your ad will appear under Manage ads.
